SCHAUMBURG, IL— July 28, 2016 — Century RFID, the leading provider of RFID tags and labels, has redefined IT asset tracking with the new Commando™ IT Asset Management Tag (the latest addition in the Tlink™ series) and Metalion™ L Read-on-Metal RFID Label (the latest addition in the Metalion™ series). The new Commando™ IT Asset Management Tag is extremely versatile for tracking both metal and non-metallic assets with long-range read performance. The Metalion™ L printable on-metal label also tracks both metal and non-metallic assets and is an excellent option for integration with existing barcode or human readable asset tracking management.
The asset management market is expected to grow at a high CAGR of 20.5% through 2020 driven by factors such as reduction in search time for misplaced assets, high Return on Investment (ROI) and improved supply chain efficiency according to recent Asset Management Report by Market and Markets.
The Commando™ IT Asset Management Tag CE38006 simplifies the RFID asset tagging application process due to the unique attachment design that enables stick and strap for both metal and non-metallic assets. Now one RFID tag can be used to track and manage general IT assets, such as laptop PCs, handhelds, cables, as well as ‘racked’ assets in data center servers.
The Metalion™ L Printable Label CE38004 was developed for very cost-sensitive asset management applications. The Metalion™ L label form factor can be encoded and printed on-demand using RFID enabled thermal transfer printers or Century RFID can customize with preprint and encoding services. Metalion™ L RFID Labels to be applied to any type of metal and non-metallic assets to increase business efficiency.

The new Commando™ IT Asset Management Tag CE38006 measures just 37.6 mm x 13.6 mm x 4.6 mm (1.48” x 0.54” x 0.18”) and ultilizes the Monza® M4QT chip from Impinj which contains 512 bits of user memory and 128 bits of EPC memory in addition to the unique, serialized tag ID (TID). The asset management tag CE38004 is PET measuring 97.5 mm x 27 mm x 0.9 mm (3.84” x 1.06” x 0.04”) and comes with Impinj Monza MR6 or MR6-P chip. Both tags have IP67 waterproof rating and RAIN RFID compliant.
